Greetings, friends. Thanks for your patience while I fall down hard on my earlier promise to keep this blog more frequently updated — I apologize!
Frankly, your buddy Luciano piled his plate a bit high of late and I’ve been buried with work. I’m not complaining, just explaining. But I wanted to make sure those of you kind enough to regularly check this blog do not begin to think I’ve forgotten you, because nothing could be further from the truth.
And a big special thanks all of you who picked up Hidebound already, particularly those who took the time to leave complimentary reviews. I sincerely appreciate it!
So what exactly have I been up to instead of churning out the occasional blog post?
- I’m about to be married. And apparently even a comparatively simple courthouse ceremony does require some planning, much to my disappointment. But I’m psyched to get hitched to a wonderful woman who has encouraged and supported all of my creative endeavors for many years now, so I cannot complain. I’m a lucky guy, and I’m smart enough to know it.
- Bloodlust, the sequel to Hidebound, is nearly complete, which is for the best since I promised to get an initial draft to the fine folks at RTP very soon. It’s a bigger story with more characters than the first book, and it really expands the character of Rayne and my take on the werewolf myth. It’s taken longer than I expected to write, but I wholeheartedly believe it will be more than worth my effort and your patience. More details on the specifics — release date, cover reveal, etc. — will be shared here as soon as I know more.
- I’m polishing several short stories of which I’m very proud for upcoming submission periods for some exciting projects. Wish me luck!
As I said, much happening at the moment. But I’ll share good news and Ambush Moon Cycle updates here first, as always. So take care, be safe, and enjoy what’s left of summer.
Thank you again for taking the time to check out my stuff, it means a lot.
Oh, and I almost forgot — on the advice of several trusted friends/fellow writers I’m on Instagram now, having finally run out of excuses to avoid any and all social media platforms. I had to choose at least one, they said, and Instagram seemed the least awful. Also, since I did formerly work as a professional photographer, I enjoy all the pretty pictures. You can find/DM me @ghosttowngossip.
Take care!
